Are these products sustainable?
Great question! Greenwashing is very real, so I aim to be transparent about what each item is actually made of. I use uncoated paper mailers made with FSC® certified materials and water based ink. The thermal mailing labels use a zero waste liner, and feature a high performance acrylic emulsion adhesive that makes them recyclable (not all adhesives are). Both the lip balm product boxes and tubes are 100% curb side recyclable (hooray paper tubes)! The perforated closures are also made with FSC® approved materials and are biodegradable. This being said, there are portions of the shipping process that aren't. Each lip balm includes a sticker that is PVC-free, but is printed on a polypropylene adhesive film with a PET laminate. On that same note, is biodegradability truly the best option for an environmentally friendly product? We strive to be a better brand, but we're still in the infancy stages! Improvements can always be made, and we hope to only get better over time.

Why is my lip balm gritty?
No need to fear! Since we only use natural ingredients in our balm, the grittiness is just a small side effect. Why? Because shea butter has a tendency to solidify at a different rate than wax & oil (the other two ingredients that make our balm). So when this balm melts and re-solidifies (let's say after being left in a warm car and then brought back to room temperature), the texture can change from smooth to slightly gritty (though this does not change the efficacy). When the shea butter cools down slowly, we end up with crystallization. This is a result of the fatty acids that make shea butter, well, shea butter!
Can I purchase in store?

Are they vegan?
Yep. No beeswax here!
Cruelty-Free?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, also yes. Each balm is made with vegan ingredients, which themselves are cruelty-free. Being a small business, we're still working on getting officially certified, but just know that we only test these products on ourselves!
Shipping?
All items are shipped M-F, with most going out within 1-Business Day. We offer free standard shipping on all orders (tracking number included via USPS), though other options are available at an additional cost. Currently we only offer shipping within the US.
